Open Stripe Dashboard links in a specific browser on Mac
Why give it its own rule
Stripe payout, dispute and webhook alerts link straight into dashboard.stripe.com, and the dashboard opens whichever account that browser used last. Developers also bounce between live data and test mode, and clicking into live data by mistake is exactly what you want to avoid.
How to set it up
- Install ChooseBrowser and pick it in System Settings → Desktop & Dock → Default web browser.
- In ChooseBrowser, add a rule for the hosts below and choose the browser and profile (profiles of Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi and Chromium need a one-time local setup in the app).
- From then on, these links open straight in that browser from any app; links without a rule show the picker.
Hosts to add
dashboard.stripe.com
Split by path
dashboard.stripe.com/test
Add a rule for dashboard.stripe.com that opens the profile signed in to your business account. Then add a path rule for dashboard.stripe.com/test pointing at your development browser or profile, so test-mode payments, logs and webhooks open there instead.
Check that it works
Open a test-mode link (dashboard.stripe.com/test/payments) and confirm the dev profile opens with the test-mode banner showing; then open a live payment link and confirm it goes to your business profile with the right account name in the top-left.
