Open Vercel links in the right browser profile on Mac
Why give it its own rule
Vercel keeps personal accounts and teams apart, so deployment and preview links for a team you joined with your work email will not load while your Hobby account is signed in. Build failure emails and comment notifications all point at vercel.com/your-team/... pages.
How to set it up
- Install ChooseBrowser and pick it in System Settings → Desktop & Dock → Default web browser.
- In ChooseBrowser, add a rule for the hosts below and choose the browser and profile (profiles of Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi and Chromium need a one-time local setup in the app).
- From then on, these links open straight in that browser from any app; links without a rule show the picker.
Hosts to add
vercel.com
Split by path
vercel.com/your-team
Add a rule for vercel.com that opens your personal browser, then a path rule for vercel.com/your-team that opens the work profile; the team's deployments, logs and settings all sit under that path. Preview URLs on vercel.app are separate hosts and usually public, so they don't need this rule.
Check that it works
Open a deployment link under vercel.com/your-team and confirm the work profile opens with the team selected in the scope switcher; then open vercel.com/dashboard for your hobby account and confirm it goes to your personal browser.
